Soon you’ll be able to do that at home and in-game, as desert island sandbox The Survivalists is releasing on 9th October.Made by Team17 as part of The Escapists universe, The Survivalists transports players to a procedurally-generated island where you’ll have to gather resources and craft to survive. Handily, you can also enlist monkeys to help with these chores. Along with single-player it features both local and online co-op, allowing you and three other friends to avoid getting scurvy together.

If you want to dip a toe in before buying, you can try the demo on both Steam and Nintendo Switch, while the full game is set to launch on PC, Switch, PS4, Xbox One and Apple Arcade.
